Chapter 4: Dragon of the Sea
Standing on the aft deck, Admiral Dailin lowered the monocular telescope in his hand and tossed it to Sir Cyrus, the Grand Knight of Kul Tiras, who appropriately responded in a low voice:
Historical records indicate that Admiral Dailin suffered greatly at the hands of the enslaved Red Dragon during World War II, to the extent that he even lost his son to the Red Dragon, though, of course, not in this particular attack
Oh, by the way, there are also brothers asking whether the protagonist majors in archery or dual blades... As for rangers, just look at A Qiang; he uses both a bow and a sword. In close combat, he is a rogue, and in ranged combat, he is a hunter. This is what a ranger is.
Another officer wiped the blood from his face and excitedly shouted to the general: "It is General Dailin, he has finally arrived! The orcs are doomed!"
The answer is already self-evident
Are they here to help us
As the three fully armed warships of Kul Tiras, including the flagship of Admiral Daelin, sailed into the waters of Nanhai Town, they effortlessly destroyed the orc transport ships, which were left in tatters. The three Alliance warships also slowly approached, preparing to deliver the final blow
Alright
Dalin's roar echoed across the entire deck, and the flag bearer signaled this command to the other warships. In an instant, the elite maritime warriors of Kul Tiras picked up their firearms and began a free and brutal "hunt"
Since the orcs entered this world through the portal in the dark marshes at the southernmost part of the continent 5 years ago, they have stained their hands with the blood of innocent humans in just 5 short years. The Storm Kingdom, one of the seven kingdoms, has been completely conquered by the savage orcs, and countless warriors have met a tragic end on the battlefield
Very well, then let's dock at Nanhai Town
But no one can defeat the Kul Tiras led by you on the sea
Admiral, please give the order to dock now
In the sky
Orcs, as the name suggests, are a group of humanoid creatures resembling beasts. They possess a stature and strength far superior to that of humans, with green skin, bulging muscles, and tusks protruding from their lips. Their skin is tough and thick, and they have a savage and aggressive temperament, posing an overall greater threat than trolls.
The rangers stationed in Nanhai Town cheered upon seeing the raised Phoenix flag. Most of these rangers came from the Wanderers Legion, and their leader is Aurelia Windrunner, the eldest daughter of Liressa Windrunner, who is both the mentor and adoptive mother of Therion, making her the nominal sister of Therion.
If I were you, I would signal those warships to be on alert
Why
Indeed, the impression of humans regarding dragons is not much different. The only distinction lies in the fact that the high elves' secret scrolls meticulously document the locations where dragons might exist in the world. Teryan remembers those places clearly, and he can be certain that in the Hillsbrad Foothills, there has absolutely never been the presence of dragons throughout history
It is the navy of Kul Tiras
Indeed, the orc is doomed
Giant Dragon
In the name of the fallen! Musketeers, fire at will!
The nearest dragon lair is located deep within the Sintralan Mountains adjacent to the hills, nearly one thousand kilometers away from here, which exceeds the range in which dragons typically forage
At this moment, Galenrad witnessed the end of the battlefield. Overcome with joy, he took a step forward, but his body swayed, and he collapsed directly onto the ground. This brutal conflict had already exhausted the general.
-
The admiral issued the order and was about to head to the captain's cabin to rest for a while, when suddenly, a strange roar echoed in the sky above the sea, causing Dailin to halt in her tracks
The exiled general Gavinrad of Stormwind, leaning on his heavy sword, rose from the blood-soaked port. He saw the surrounding soldiers with equally bewildered expressions, and instinctively turned his gaze towards the mysterious high elves.
Swish swish swish swish
Javindrad's eyes widened. He grew up on the land of the Storm Kingdom, the only human nation in the southern part of the continent, where dragons were merely an ancient legend. He had never imagined that he would witness a dragon with his own eyes in his lifetime
In the mist and howling sea winds ahead of the fleet, a dragon, bound by reins, flaps its wings as it descends from the sky, hovering in mid-air, its serpent-like eyes filled with anguish. Behind this noble and powerful creature, seated in neat rows on its scaled back, are a dozen fully armed orcs, creating a bizarre scene that is utterly out of place
That is the roar of the dragon
This shot was truly accurate
The igniting of the sails signifies that they have completely fallen into a passive state
In the library of Quel'Thalas, many stories about dragons are recorded. Aside from some overly romanticized fantasies of certain mages, dragons, in the impression of the elves, are powerful, proud, mysterious, and difficult to get along with
It seems that those orcs are not mindless; they are aware that the roads through the wetlands are difficult to traverse, and they also know that we have set an ambush at the Saldor Bridge. They have begun to attempt an attack on the Northern Frontier via the waterways.
Gavindrad asked in a low voice. In response to this somewhat naive question, Lothar shook his head, while Tyrian snorted
A roar like that of a colossal beast echoed across the sky on the other side of Nanhai Town. This roar made Tyrion suddenly lift his head; he recognized this sound. During one occasion when he gazed directly at the sky above the Sunwell, after seeing that enormous blue dragon, it had remained vividly etched in his memory ever since
The great knight Selus turned his head dismissively to glance at the orc warships that had already been swept into the sea in the distance, and he said in a deep voice
Your Majesty! Look over there! Nanhai Town!
Recently, there have been an increasing number of these orc's dilapidated ships
Javonrad was momentarily taken aback. Behind him, Lothar's gaze also became fixed, and he said in a deep voice
... ...
The admiral's splendid uniform was already soaked, his black hair clinging to his forehead like an enraged sea lion. He grasped the arm of the great knight and shouted loudly
The familiar rain of arrows once again swept across the sky. In the eyes of Gavin Ladd, who had narrowly escaped death, this shower of arrows dancing in the air resembled the most beautiful scenery in the world. It fell from the sky like a forest growing on the ground... a forest filled with death and blood
Drake is still on another ship! Kul Tiras cannot lose its prince
The loyal knight felt somewhat troubled, and after a moment, under Dailin's feigned glare, he finally spoke with a strange expression:
... ...
Upon witnessing this scene, Dailin, who was already seated in the lifeboat, grabbed the nearby short-barreled gun and shot one of the orcs in the chest. The creature struggled for a moment before collapsing onto the swaying deck, ultimately falling into the water.
Cyrus, you have forgotten again, do not call me Your Majesty, I do not like that title... I am now the Commander of the Navy of the Alliance, and since the moment I was born, I have known that I belong to the sea, so call me Admiral!
What is that sound
Lothar Mar'theron, clad in red chainmail, exchanged a glance with Tyrion beside him, momentarily setting aside their grievances. He turned his gaze to the sky and softly said
Aow aow aow
Charge, knights! Eliminate all these beasts
That is the artillery operated personally by Drake
Where are you from
Upon hearing these words, Dai Lin's eyes glimmered with satisfaction. He stroked his short beard and looked somewhat triumphantly at the orc transport ship that had been completely sunk by cannon fire in the distance. This middle-aged naval leader's eyes suddenly flashed with a hint of cold light.
Dailin watched as the orcs who had fallen into the water were shot dead one by one by the marksmen. He reached up to rub his forehead and said to the silent knight beside him:
Regarding the first generation of Death Knights, firstly, Orgrim did not allow Gul'dan to use the corpses of Orcs, so all Death Knights were of human bodies. Secondly, the Death Knights were souls manipulated by the warlocks of the Shadow Council, combined with the bodies of human knights, aiming to achieve a fusion of strength and magic. However, it can only be said that it appeared to be beautiful; in reality, the first generation of Death Knights is more appropriately referred to as plate-wearing warlocks, and compared to the first generation of Paladins that emerged at the same time, they were the weaker side.
Behind him, the knights, with a momentum as fierce as tigers, roared as they brought their shields together and charged forward recklessly, forcefully kicking the orcs down into the harbor. In the cold seawater, these creatures were then targeted by the elves with their sharp arrows
In the midst of the hateful roars, the originally damp and cold air suddenly became scorching at that moment, as a massive fireball descended diagonally from the sky, striking a warship directly in front of the flagship, igniting the sails that had not yet been furled, as if the entire ship had been set ablaze in an instant
The admiral and the loyal knights raised their heads in unison, gazing at the overcast sky. In that moment, a creature covered in red scales, flapping its enormous wings, darted back and forth in the mist of the impending storm, its robust tail and four clawed limbs flashing before their eyes.
After the dragon flapped its wings and soared back into the sky, the great knight Celes pulled Dailin towards the position of the lifeboat, while Dailin struggled frantically
He raised his head, gazing at the ominous clouds that were rising as the storm approached overhead. In such weather, he could not see anything within the misty clouds.
After the flames of the dragon's breath dissipated, the entire deck of the ship was covered with charred corpses. However, the warship, crafted from special techniques and unique wood of Kul Tiras, survived the dragon's breath and was not ignited as the orcs controlling the dragons had imagined.
The sound of the battleship's cannon tore through the waves of the sea amidst the smoke of the outer sea. Gavin Lard suddenly raised his head and saw two balls of red flames descending from the sky, precisely striking the orc transport ship. Following the cannons, the silhouettes of three warships appeared in the eyes of the people of South Sea Town from a distance.
The navigator of the wooden three-masted warship shouted loudly to the admiral, his voice somewhat distorted in the howling wind that grew increasingly fierce. In the next moment, Dailin turned to look towards the direction of Nanhai Town. In the gradually rising sea mist, the hilly port appeared somewhat blurred, yet faintly visible were the flickering lights of fire and * illustrations *.
Because there are people on those dragons... they are orcs!
The recently victorious admiral appeared somewhat indifferent as he surveyed his surroundings. The entire sea was now whipped by a fierce wind, and their adversaries had just been sent to hell by their own hands. Where was the danger now?
And I ... ... I cannot abandon my own son
As a massive shadow flew out from the gloom of the sky, at that moment, Tyrion barely discerned the soaring dragon through the haze over the sea. His expression shifted slightly as he grasped the arm of Gavyn Ladr, whispering:
However, it is regrettable that they do not possess the superhuman regenerative abilities of trolls, so when faced with the rain of arrows from the high elves, after four waves of precise volleys, the orcs who ascended to the port resembled targets riddled with arrow shafts... It was simply a shocking massacre
As the last fleeing orc was pierced through the chest, the goddess of fortune seemed to be pleased by this desperate counterattack, showering all her divine power upon the heads of the alliance soldiers
To speak frankly, at least one-third of the reasons for Tyrion's adventurous support stem from this name
Dragon
Everything turned upside down in an instant, and victory was drawing ever closer to the alliance. This filled Gavin Ladd and the alliance soldiers who held their ground with joy, as cheers echoed through the skies
Dragons, legendary creatures that frequently appear in fantasy stories, possess extraordinary powers, overwhelming magical resistance, and a pair of wings that allow them to soar through the sky
At that moment, another roar echoed in the air, and this time it was clearly much closer than the last.
However, it is well known that Lady Luck is a fickle mistress, just like the previous despair, this joy too may not last even five minutes
You may use all the words you know to describe a dragon, but you must not include 'enthusiastic' and 'benevolent'; they are dragons, and their views on good and evil differ from ours
is ... ... dragon
Faced with this situation, the valiant warrior who had been loyal to two kings felt somewhat bewildered. He instinctively followed the gazes of Tyrion and Cersei, looking up at the sky. Unfortunately, he did not possess the keen eyesight of an elf; he could only see a gray and hazy horizon, a sign that a storm was approaching from the sea
Cyrus, I must go back
The storm has arrived well, this storm will destroy those ungrateful green-skinned ones for us
This is the roar of the dragon
The great knight Celeris looked for a few seconds, then turned to the pale-faced Dailin and said: "They are warning us to be on guard! A threat is approaching!"
The admiral fiercely waved his fist
Your Majesty, it is time to dock at Nanhai Town. Look at this howling sea breeze; a great storm is gathering.
This time, the orcs riding on the backs of dragons jumped down as they approached the surface of the sea, landing on the decks of the warships that were thrown into chaos by the appearance of the giant dragon, and they seized the opportunity to slaughter the sailors in a frenzy
The great knight remained unmoved, dedicating all his loyalty to the royal family. He regarded Dailin's life as a hundred times more important than his own. He threw the admiral into a wooden lifeboat, and in the howling sea wind behind him, that cursed dragon circled in the air once more before diving down towards the fleet.
Your Majesty, leave quickly
The admiral looked at his most loyal knight, who had already tightened his grip on the hilt of his cutlass at his waist. He shook his head and stepped forward, joining the other three knights to protect the admiral's side. Clearly, these loyal knights sensed an underlying threat
They are signaling with torches and flags
Let go of me! Silas, let go of me! My soldiers are dead! That damned dragon! I will kill it!
Boom!
Send those damned green-skinned ones to hell! Do not give them a chance to survive and come ashore!
As the dragon before me took a deep breath, the searing heat of its breath pierced through the humid air at that moment, bringing death from the sky as a gift to the soldiers still reveling in victory. Death arrived so swiftly, almost in the blink of an eye, that three warships were engulfed by the dragon's fire descending from above
They are invaders from another world, arriving in Azeroth, reportedly in search of a new homeland. However, judging by their rampage that has overturned half the continent, these frenzied individuals are certainly not associated with peace.
Javindrad seized this fleeting opportunity, shouting excitedly as he was the first to charge forward, brandishing his weapon. With a swift and decisive motion, he delivered a powerful downward slash, killing the two stunned orcs before him. Blood splattered from their towering bodies, symbolizing the joy of victory
Aow aow aow
Clearly, this general believes that the elves certainly know much more than humans do
Despite serving different kings, these Kul Tiran sailors are still eager to avenge their fellow humans
Dalin extended his hand with satisfaction, feeling the increasingly turbulent sea breeze. He took a deep breath and softly said
Only by being alive, Your Majesty, can you possibly achieve the great feat of slaying the dragon
What is that? Is it some kind of beast? Silas, have you heard this roar before?
